PARTIAL SCHOOL OPENING IN UGANDA – MARCH 2021

Since March not only the students of the graduating classes but also students of other higher school levels are allowed to attend classes on site again. However, the government plans to allow children and young people in the lower classes to have face-to-face classes soon. Universities will reopen in staggered manner. All schools and students still have to maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).

General situation Uganda: 

There is still an obligation to wear a mask in public areas. Additionally, there is a nighttime curfew between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am. At the moment, travel to Uganda is generally permitted. The requirement for entering the country is a negative PCR COVID-19 test result that is no more than 120 hours old.

Uganda also held presidential elections on January 14, 2021. The former officeholder, Museveni remains president, but the result was contested by the opposition.
